Cold War 9 was a HUGE SUCCESS!!

Thanks to the great families from Martial Arts Advantage, Westchase Impact Martial Arts, and United Traditional Martial Arts, Saturday's Cold War was AWESOME! It was Mother's Day weekend and were expecting a smaller than usual turnout, so mid week, we changed the venue from our usual gymnasium to Martial Arts Advantage South. We tossed around the idea of postponing the event, but several students had nudged us to keep the date as they had been training hard and were ready to show their stuff. Well, we're glad we stuck to our plan. We had a FANTASTIC turnout, 94 competitors. The Academy was hopping, filled with return competitors as well as many new faces. Speaking of new faces, Mr Kuntz invited Debbie Melendez of United Traditional Martial Arts. She brought with her, ten competitors! What a great learning experience everyone had. The returning students who were excited to again face their friendly competitors from Impact, got thrown a curve ball when they got matched up against some of Debbie's students. The newbies had the opportunity to compete against both schools and feel what its like to do their pattern next to someone they've never seen before and SPAR them as well!! We may not have had the bells and whistles of a huge gymnasium, but we had the hustle and bustle of our Academy filled with non stop action. Way to go EVERYONE! We are so proud of you all.
Stay tuned for COLD WAR 10!!!!!
